This study discusses the Comparative Concept Understanding Difficulty Analysis. This study aims to find out how difficult it is to understand the concept of comparison and to find out what factors make it difficult to understand the concept of comparison. This research is a qualitative research that will provide an overview of the difficulties experienced by students in understanding the concept of comparison. Data collection techniques used are in the form of problem solving assignments and interviews. The questions used in the concept comprehension difficulty test are in the form of comparison questions totaling 1 question. The interview aims to find out the difficulty of understanding the concept of comparison. Based on the processed data, it was found that JA students could not restate a concept, had difficulty developing necessary or sufficient requirements for a concept, JA students also had difficulty using and utilizing and selecting certain operating procedures. Meanwhile, YM students experienced difficulties in using and utilizing and selecting certain operating procedures. And KL students also have difficulty using and utilizing and selecting certain operating procedures. It is evident that the difficulty of understanding students' concepts is high and the factors that cause difficulties in understanding students' mathematical concepts consist of two factors, namely external factors and internal factors.
