Instruction for Authors

  1. Articles (papers) should be the result of research in the field of physics education, theory development, and thoughts of practitioners engaged in physics education. The focus and scope of Magneton: Journal of Physics Learning Innovation is physics learning innovation; physics learning methods, models, and approaches; physics learning media; ICT in physics learning; physics learning evaluation and assessment; ethnophysics.
  2. All submitted papers must be written in APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association) style.
  3. All articles (papers) are submitted through the online journal system. If you already have an account, you can login first. If not, please SIGN UP to the system.
  4. Articles (papers) are written in good and correct Indonesian or English. Writing margins are 2.54 cm (right, left, top, bottom), manuscript size using A4 with a minimum number of pages of 8 pages and a maximum of 10 pages, Calisto MT 11 font, with MS word program. Articles (papers) are written with the following provisions and systematics:

  1. Title: written and concise, a maximum of 20 words containing keywords, and must reflect the substance described in the content of the article.
  2. Author's name: written below the title, without title. Authors can be individuals or teams, and all authors are listed.
  3. Author's institution and address: state the author's institution of origin, email address listed under the author's name.
  4. Abstract: Abstract is written using Indonesian and English not exceeding 250 words, the minimum components in the abstract include: problem, objectives, methods, main results by including data in a summary both qualitative / quantitative and conclusions that generally answer the problems in the research. (written in Calisto MT, font 10, space 1 pt).
  5. Keywords: words or terms that reflect the essence of the concept within the scope of the problem can consist of several pieces of words/terms. Maximum of 6 words; use specific terms; separated by a sign (;). Keywords are written below the abstract with one line spacing.
  6. Body: consists of (1) introduction which includes background, (2) method, (3) research results and discussion, (4) conclusion. INTRODUCTION: background, problems and literature review; METHODS: the approach/methods/methods used are unbiased; RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: contains the results of the research and discussion of these results; CONCLUSIONS: The research outlines conclusions in accordance with the problems discussed.
  7. Images: must be of high quality (1200 dpi for line drawings, 600 dpi for grayscale, and 300 dpi for color, at the correct size). Images must be provided in one of our preferred file formats: EPS, PS, JPEG, GIF, or Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX). To facilitate clear reproduction, all photos and images must be submitted in their original form and include the original source.
  8. Tables: should present new information and not duplicate what is in the text. The reader should be able to interpret the table without referring to the text. Please provide an editable file.
  9. Units: please use SI units (not italicized).
  10. References: processed from primary sources (journals, books) and current (maximum 10 years). The bibliography only lists the sources referred to in the body of the article, at least 20 references. Otherwise, the name referred to in the body must be in the references. References are organized using APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association) style and are required to use standard citation applications (Zotero, Mendeley, Endnote, etc.).
