Abstrak

Penelitian sebelumnya mengenai transformasi rumah urban di Indonesia fokus pada aspek privasi serta perubahan morfologis bangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan konfigurasi spasial antara denah asli dan denah transformasi dari rumah urban di Indonesia. Studi kasus ini mempelajari enam rumah yang berlokasi Jatiwaringin Asri, Bekasi. Denah asli dan denah transformasi diperoleh lewat wawancara dengan penghuni rumah. Denah tersebut kemudian dianalisis secara grafis dan matematis dengan space syntax. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ruang open plan merupakan pusat rumah baik di denah asli maupun denah transformasi. Ada pemisahan yang kuat antara area publik dan privat namun terdapat pemisahan hierarki yang rendah pada ruang interiornya.
