Architectural design principles of a University Campus that create an educational atmosphere

Desain arsitektur merupakan bagian penting dalam proses pengembangan kampus perguruan tinggi. Penelitian evaluasi terhadap desain ini akan mengkaji sejauh mana desain arsitektur keempat kampus tersebut memenuhi parameter konsep kampus bernuansa edukasi. Penelitian ini akan memberikan gambaran kualitas desain yang berimplikasi pada pengembangan suasana akademik dan nonakademik perguruan tinggi yang pada gilirannya berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian campuran (mixed methods research/MMR). Tahap pertama penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan Prinsip Desain Prioritas Kampus Bernuansa Edukasi dengan menggunakan Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Tahap selanjutnya yaitu tahap kuantitatif yaitu mengembangkan model pengambilan keputusan kualitas kampus bernuansa edukasi dengan menggunakan sistem logika fuzzy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga kriteria desain kampus bernuansa edukasi yang menjadi prioritas tertinggi digunakan untuk menjadi model pengukuran kualitas desain perguruan tinggi berbasis kampus edukasi. Ketiga kriteria tersebut menentukan apakah desain suatu kampus telah memenuhi standar minimal konsep kampus edukasi. Hasil pengujian terhadap desain empat perguruan tinggi menunjukkan bahwa hanya desain kampus Universitas Malikussaleh yang belum memenuhi konsep desain kampus bernuansa edukasi. Tiga perguruan tinggi lainnya telah memenuhi konsep desain kampus bernuansa edukasi.
