7th ASPAC MER INFORMATION AND TEMPLATE
2023-11-01
- The 7th ASPAC MER conference is planned to be held in Taiwan in 2025. We still need to fix the dates of the conference. Fr. Piotr Adamek, SVD (the ASPAC MER in charge of SVD SIN Province), together with Fr. Jijimon Alakkalam, SVD will organize it. We will take the focal theme from the coming SVD General Chapter "Your Light Shall Shine Before Others: Faithful and Creative Disciples in the Wounded World". However, we still need a concept paper for the conference as the sub-theme that will fit the ASPAC zone. For instance, we should split the “Wounded World” into some small categories like:
- Wounded ‘education’ world (joys, sorrows, frustrations, challenges…..of confreres working in the academic ministry);
- Wounded ‘pastoral’ world (joys, sorrows, frustrations, challenges….of confreres working in the pastoral ministry);
- Wounded ‘formation’ world (joys, sorrows, frustrations, challenges….of confreres working in the formation ministry);
- Wounded ‘natural’ world (joys, sorrows, frustrations, challenges……of confreres working in the environmental protection ministry);
- Wounded ‘migrant’ world (joys, sorrows, frustrations, challenges…..of confreres working in the migrant ministry).
- And any other specialized ministries so that, hopefully, we will get papers regarding the wounded world from different perspectives.
- All the ASPAC MER members are invited to submit the abstract of their research papers, pastoral and cultural experiences, missionary reflections and others - maximum 200 words in length.
- The selected papers presented in the conference should be revised (if needed) and resubmitted to the ASPAC MER Editorial Board in 3 – 4 months soon after the conference with the following requirements:
- maximum 5000 words in length;
- Using APA Style (a style of documentation of sources used by the American Psychology Association);
- the compilation of the papers will be published in a special edition by the ASPAC MER Coordinator and the Editorial Board in collaboration with the UNWIRA Press of Widya Mandira Catholic University, Kupang, Indonesia.
- Please address your responses, suggestions and queries about the coming conference to Rev. Frs: Jose Jacob, SVD (kjosesvd@gmail.com), Piotr Adamek, SVD (piotradamek@hotmail.com), Jijimon Alakkalam, SVD (jijinde@gmail.com), and Philipus Tule, SVD (philipustule@unwira.ac.id)
