Abstrak

Degradasi lahan akibat konversi lahan merupakan proses global yang erat kaitannya dengan penggunaan lahan. Intensifikasi penggunaan lahan di Kota Makassar secara dramatis mempengaruhi hidrologi retensi air, yang menyebabkan peningkatan volume, laju aliran permukaan, dan hilangnya filtrasi. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan optimalisasi resapan dengan memetakan klasifikasi kemampuan resapan berdasarkan pengamatan perubahan penggunaan lahan pada rentang tahun 2005 dan 2020, serta genangan yang terjadi akibat limpasan permukaan. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode kuantitatif berdasarkan perhitungan data spasial run-off dan statistik yang bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi daerah sebaran dengan kemampuan infiltrasi rendah pada penggunaan lahan pada kawasan terbangun. Dalam 15 tahun terakhir, hasilnya menunjukkan penurunan kemampuan infiltrasi sebesar 3,6% (617,72 ha) pada tingkat kritis di kawasan terbangun. Oleh karena itu, langkah-langkah optimasi infiltrasi dapat menjadi solusi alternatif bagi pengambil keputusan dengan hanya berfokus pada distribusi penggunaan lahan yang memiliki kondisi awal kritis. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meminimalkan laju limpasan permukaan dan potensi genangan berlebih sehingga upaya pemanfaatan lahan berkelanjutan di Kota Makassar dapat tercapai.
